New Delhi: Citing security threat to nation, the German government is planning to ban encrypted messaging application Telegram.
German authorises said that the app was reportedly being used as a medium for spreading anti-vaccine conspiracy theories and even death threats.
Moreover, this app was also used to mobilise turnout during the some most violent protests in opposition to the government against Covid-19 policies since beginning of the pandemic, a senior government official told a local newspaper citing that politicians have set their sights on tighter controls on Telegram.
