Hijab controversy: `horrifying`: Malala hits out at Indian leaders

New Delhi: Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace laureate and women’s rights activist, riasedher voice to extend support to protesting Muslim girls for wearing Hijab in schools.

She took to Twitter to share her views over the ongoing hijab controversy and said, “Refusing to let girls go to school in their hijabs is horrifying. Objectification of women persists — for wearing less or more. Indian leaders must stop the marginalisation of Muslim women.”

Malala was shoot in head by Taliban in Pakistan in 2012 for speaking up about the rights of girls and their education.
